OPTI Vision:

Through our mission and because of our goals, we have created an environment where people of all ages and abilities are training in the most efficient manner, with the most effective methods and equipment to achieve the highest levels of fitness, health, and performance through Optimum Performance Training Institute’s comprehensive performance enhancement training system and methodology.

This specialized system of coaching and training methods is held, and will continue to be held, to the highest possible standards the industry has to offer.  This allows us to develop and implement the very best possible scientifically sound performance enhancement, injury reduction and nutritional programs, and execute the implementation and coaching of these programs in the most ethical and safest manner possible for our athletes and clients.  This in turn allows our athletes and clients to accomplish the goals they initially set as well as achieve additional positive outcomes they may not have thought were possible.

OPTI METHODOLOGY:

1. Physical Assessments and Evaluations:

  • Functional Movement Screen (FMS)
  • Biomechanical musco-skeletal Evaluation
  • Max Heart Rate and VO2 Energy System Test
  • *Sport Specific Performance Tests

2. Nutritional Evaluation, Education, and Body Composition Evaluation:

  • Nutritional Consultation: What to eat and when to eat it to maximize performance, hormone production, recovery, body composition, and health.
  • Personal Nutritional Program Development
  • Body Fat analysis
  • Girth Measurements

3. Recovery and Regeneration Strategies:

  • How to prevent overtraining, under recovering, and how to rebuild the body between workouts so you will be at your very best. Rebuilding and healing methods such as massage therapy, self soft tissue manipulation, circulation, sleep, nutrition, and hydro-therapy are the focus of a proper recovery program.

4. Flexibility and Mobility Training:

  • Flexibility and joint mobilization techniques will be taught to improve and correct how the body moves, improving performance and decreasing pain or injury.
  • Flexibility methods include: Active-Isolated technique, PNF technique, and Static hold technique.

5. Pillar Strength and Core Stability Training:

  • How to most efficiently and effectively train the torso/trunk of the body so it can maximally transfer force and energy, while providing you with a properly stable base of support from which to move from. This allows you the ability to express your power and strength to its maximum potential, enhancing your performance and decreasing your potential for injury.

6. Movement Preparation:

  • How to properly prepare and warm up the body for training sessions, games, and life activities, while improving and correcting movement patterns and movement skills.
  • Movement Prep format: Mobility and Flexibility, Activation and Stability, Dynamic Movement Patterning, Integrated marching and skipping, rapid response-nervous system excitation.

7. Movement Supportive Strength Training:

  • Training techniques and progressions to properly develop the skill of strength for the purpose of performance enhancement and injury reduction.
  • Movements selected for strength development will be based on the priority of maximal transfer to life activities and sport, enhancing performance and decreasing injury potential.
  • OPTI focus is on developing adequate, entry-level strength in the fundamental human movements to support, develop and enhance all other training effects, adaptations, qualities and goals.

8. Movement Supportive Power Training:

  • Contractile Power: Training that improves explosiveness by developing the ability to maximally accelerate a given mass, load or resistance from a stable starting position with an incredibly quick reaction time and proper movement skill. Examples are Olympic weight lifting, medicine ball training, and jump training.
  • Elastic Power: Training that improves explosiveness by developing the ability to rapidly store and release energy like a super ball or rubber band, allowing you to produce high force contractions very quickly and repetitively with great efficiency in any direction. Examples are plyometrics, medicine ball training, and kettlebell training.

9. Rotational Movement and Power Training:

  • Training to develop proper, efficient, and effective rotational movements. Learn how to produce rotational force from your hips, transfer that force through the core, and project it into an opponent, implement, or object.

10. Energy System Training and Conditioning:

  • Train in the most efficient way to lose body fat, optimize hormonal response and achieve a high fitness level. Properly condition your body so it is tuned specifically for your sport and activities. No more long slow distance training for a speed and sprint based sport.

11. Linear Movement Skill and Speed Training:

  • Develop the mechanics and techniques that will most efficiently and effectively improve your ability to apply maximum force into the ground with each foot contact, allowing you to accelerate faster and unlocking your maximum speed capabilities.

12. Multi-directional Movement Skill and Speed Training:

  • Develop the mechanics and techniques that will most efficiently and effectively improve your ability to move laterally, decelerate, change direction quickly, and re-accelerate in any direction with exceptional footwork, agility, and precision.
